Exploring Christianity

‘I have come that they might have life and have it more abundantly'

'God, I want to ask you to direct me in my search for truth. Let me find your love, acceptance and peace and recognise that whatever I feel about myself you have the power to remake me. You want me to enjoy life to the full and you want me to be all you created me to be. Amen.’

(Prayer for those seeking God)

There are many ways in which those interested in exploring Christianity can deepen their understanding.

Personally: You will receive a warm welcome at any of the regular services in our churches and this will give you a chance to talk to the Christians there about what their faith means to them.

You can also talk in confidence to any member of the ministry team. On most mornings a member of the ministry team is available in St Giles' church if you would like to drop in. At other times please ring our parish office; we are happy to come and speak with you at home.

Courses: There are a number of short courses available which enable those seeking to know more about Christianity to ask questions and explore the faith in an open and non-judgemental way. Courses are run within the Parish at regular intervals and will be advertised on this website. At other times, contact a member of the ministry team for details.

Alpha courses: You can find where this course is running locally by putting your postcode into the search engine on this website, http://uk.alpha.org/

Christianity Explored: You can find where this course is running locally by putting your postcode into the search engine on this website, http://www.christianityexplored.org/

Beta Courses: A course developed in Cambridge for those seeking information, for very new Christians, as well as for people who have been Christians for a long time. The website includes a video to explain the structure and content of the course.
