Anybody at all may book Church premises for use by a group or club or for a private entertainment. The few restrictions we place on the use of our premises will be explained when you make your initial enquiry. The parish has in place policies on health & safety, safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults, equal opportunities and the environment which can be viewed/downloaded below.
Booking enquiries should be made to the church. (The only exceptions are enquiries about Baptisms and Marriages, where you should contact the Rector or the appropriate Minister (see Marking life’s milestones page).:

Rooms for Hire
There are four rooms available; the main Canterbury Hall, the Darwin Room and the Richmond Room have access to a large, well-equipped kitchen and the smaller Oxford Room has access to a small galley kitchen.
There is a fine 5' 10" Gors and Kallman grand piano, (recently reconditioned, tuned to A440), suitable for chamber concerts that can also be hired out for private practice, by special permission from Philip Mead.
St. Augustine's has a website that includes a calendar, photographs of facilities and up-to-date information for regular users of, and those wishing to hire, St. Augustine's Church premises.

All rooms for hire are on the ground floor and there are no steps up into the building or internally. There is a toilet adapted for disabled use.
There is limited on-street parking near the Church but visitors are encouraged to walk, cycle or use public transport in order to leave parking spaces for residents and essential services
St. Luke’s Church Community Centre

St Luke's Church Community Centre is just that, a Church which is used for worship jointly by Anglicans and the United Reformed Church but it is also a community centre, used widely by local groups and organisations. The building has a range of rooms and halls available for private hire and a kitchen, which are available to all users. It is the aim of the centre to provide a good value facility for use by the local community for education, leisure and fun! The centre is also ideal for regular classes and groups and for one-off bookings such as children's birthday parties.
The Church Centre is located near the centre of Cambridge on Victoria Road. Please see the details here for directions. The Bookings Clerk works on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9.30 am to 11.30 am. Please get in touch if you would like any information about any of the groups that meet here or if you would like to hire any of the rooms.

There is a car park adjacent to the Church which is available for use by users of the centre. During the day we operate a Centre parking permit system.
The Centre has full disabled facilities - including toilets, parking and lift access to the first floor.
We operate a system of access by key only to provide security to the Centre and its users.

St. Giles’ Church

St. Giles' is a striking Victorian church in the Early French Gothic style, which will provide the perfect background for your concert, talk, play, rehearsal or meeting. The church is one large open space: the main seating area serves as a large and beautiful auditorium, with excellent acoustic for performances, while the west end offers a flexible space for rehearsals and meetings. Tables and chairs can be arranged to suit your needs, and audio-visual equipment is available.

It can accommodate up to 200 people, including performers, in a variety of configurations.
There is a recently installed sound system consisting of radio microphones, hearing loop, and CD player with auxilliary input. A projector, DVD player and folding screen are available for hire
Toilet and kitchen facilities are available at the back of the church.
The organ and two pianos may be used with the permission of the booking secretary
The Church is fully accessible apart from the high altar and Lady Chapel. There is a disabled access entrance on the west wall, an internal ramp and disabled users' toilet. There is also an audio loop system for those with hearing aids.
Parking at St. Giles' is extremely limited, and only available by prior arrangement. Nearby car parks are listed below:
|Castle Park||Pay and Display Monday-Saturday 08.00-19.00. Free at other times. Castle Park is on the same side of the road as the County Council buildings (Shire Hall), near the top of Castle Hill. You should turn into the access road at the corner occupied by the Sir Isaac Newton public house.|
|Shire Hall||This car park is in front of the County Council buildings. The Shire Hall car park is now open from 8am on Sundays and costs 70p per hour.|
|Church Car Park||There are a few parking spaces in the churchyard, with access from Castle St. but these are only available during the evening with the permission of the booking secretary.|
|On-Street Parking||There is roadside parking in the streets around the Church, in the Pound Hill area. This is Pay and Display until 17.00 on every day. Some places are for residents only so please do check the signs before stopping.|
St. Peter’s Church

The church hall and two rooms (“Aldersgate” and “Epworth”) are available for hire. The church hall and Aldersgate have level access from the street, but Epworth is on the first floor and accessed only by stairs. Hire of any room also comes with access to the fully-equipped kitchen, while there are toilets on both the ground and first floors, with a disabled toilet on the ground floor. Note that the Methodist Church does not allow alcoholic drinks on its premises.
