The medieval Church made much use of imagery to remind the laity of moral and religious teachings. Imagery of the sins and virtues can be particularly illuminating in showing its developing educational techniques.
Rev'd Dr. Lynne Broughton will be the speaker. Lynne has lectured at the University of Cambridge and Lincoln Theological College; in recent years she has very much enjoyed her engagement in Adult
Education teaching. She has published books on Lincoln and Ely cathedrals.
Your Cambridge Heritage is a series of free lectures hosted by the Friends of St. Giles' Church, given every second Thursday of the Month at 11am in St Giles' Church. Refreshments are served from 10.30 am.
