St. Giles' will once again be filled with the fragrance and signs of Christmas, with 34 real trees decorated and lit by diverse groups from across the Ascension parish, on this year's theme, "Messages & Messengers". There will be workshops and demonstrations led by expert, local practitioners, that all are welcome to attend or join in.
Friday 1st December, 6pm - Grand opening and blessing of the trees with music by Quadriga Quintet, mulled wine and mince pies
Saturday 2nd December from 10.30am to 4pm - Christmas mini Market, refreshments and lunches
2-4 pm Willow workshop with Ali Finn. Come and make a beautiful, natural Christmas wreath.
Sunday 3rd December 1-2pm Dressing of the Romanian tree, 3pm- Advent carol service followed by tea
Monday 4th December 2-4pm - Glass engraving with Lida Kindersley
Tuesday December 2-4 pm - Singing workshop with Stephen Lawrence
Wednesday 6th December 3-4pm, Fitzwilliam Chapel Choir sing Carols
Thursday 7th December 2-4 pm - Felting workshop with Margaret Waring, member of The Textiles Society and The Embroiderers' Guild.
